OHLA is a Los Angeles-based open-format DJ known for genre-fluid sets, sharp crowd reading, and knowing exactly when to give people what they want—and when to surprise them.
With 17 years behind the decks, Ohla has built a career moving comfortably between hip-hop, R&B, pop, dance, Afrobeats, Latin, and everything in between. Her sets are rooted in familiarity, discovery, and nostalgia, with the flexibility to shift with the room rather than force the room into one sound.
A Columbus, Ohio native and Ohio State alum, Ohla has brought that instinct for reading people and creating connection to events and experiences for brands including Amazon MGM, the Recording Academy, BET, Instagram, Manychat, Google, Hulu, OWN, and Nike, as well as events featuring Lena Waithe and Cynthia Erivo.
Her work also spans Pride, LGBTQ+ nightlife, Black cultural events, and community-centered celebrations—spaces where reading the room, understanding the culture, and knowing the music matter. Whether she's playing a corporate event, brand activation, premiere, private party, festival, or packed dance floor, Ohla approaches every room differently.
