OHLA (pronounced O-Lah), a native of Ohio, is an open format DJ residing in the Los Angeles area. Originally self-taught, OHLA was later trained by legendary DJ instructors at the late Jam Master Jay’s Scratch DJ Academy. OHLA’s appreciation for all genres of music motivates her to perform an eclectic set at each event. She loves creatively piecing together crowd favorites, old-school classics, and current top hits to give her listeners a well rounded musical experience.
OHLA’s past residencies include premier Los Angeles hot spots Loews Hollywood Hotel, Viceroy Santa Monica, and Sunset Marquis. She currently holds a residency in West Hollywood at Beaches WeHo and has performed at events such as World of Dance, DUB Show Tour and the US Open of Surf. OHLA is able to cater to many different crowds due to her experience spinning private, public, and corporate events for companies such as Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Valentino, Off-White and Bank of America. Her most notable clients have included actress Lisa Vidal and comedian/actor Kendall Kyndall.
As a woman who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community, OHLA is proud to use her love of music and skill as a DJ to support venues, brands and corporate clients at events in and around the Los Angeles area. In partnership with Macy’s OHLA has DJ’d The Trevor Project’s first ever Transgender fashion show, an LA Pride 2019 block party at premiere West Hollywood venue La Boheme and also hosted and DJ’d a mini-series of events dedicated to the LGBTQ community called The Sunday Social and Thanks For Last Night.
OHLA has performed at several nightclubs in and around the metro LA area and recently made her international debut abroad in the Caribbean. With a guest appearance as a featured DJ on Season 2 of The Sisterhood of Hip Hop (Oxygen Network), OHLA continues to spread her love of music throughout many different facets of the industry. She believes that music is universal and no matter where you go in the world, it is the one language that everyone speaks.
